"reconnecting the video source failed for soure 1" alert

I am using notebook webcam for source 1 and logetech usb webcam for source 2.
The loegetech usb webcam for source 2 is working well,
But the notebook webcam for source is not working.

I load the webcam as video source,
and the source 1’s screen is black.

And I load the audio source,
and then “reconnecting the video source failed for soure 1” alert message is popped.

I don’t know why.

But a couple of times,
when I tried number 1,2 and then the webcam LED on my notebook is on.
and it worked.
But if I quit the program, it is not work again.

What is the problem?

I don’t know what is the exact reason.

Could you give me an advice, please?

Hi Clara! From your description it seems like if another application is competing for the internal camera. If webcamxp gets it first it runs with no problem, but if you stop and start webcamxp the other application takes over and blocks webcamxp to connect to the camera. Check if you have Skype running in the background. In webcamxp you can set it to automatically start (under Options) when the computer starts. What happens then?
