Support for Amcrest IP4M-1025E camera

I just purchased an Amcrest IP4M-1025E camera, and this is not listed as a supported camera. Is there another camera I can specify to connect to which will work? I tried to connect both in webcam 7 and netcam studio

Hi Myron!
This is the million dollar question ;). There are so many cams on the market so it is impossible to say since the manufacturers quite often do not tell these important parameters. However, I checked the specs and it says the camera is ONVIF compliant. So go into the camera settings and make sure that onvif is enabled. In Netcam Studio add a new source using the tab ONVIF Source. If that do not work use the Custom URL and use this URL that another user here on the forum used for connection. Set stream type to rtsp_tcp
rtsp://username:PW@IPnumber:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1
In the config of the camera you should be able to get more info about channel and subtype.

Hello Henrik, it looks like the instructions you listed are for Netcam Studio. Do you have instructions for getting the Amcrest IP4M-1025E to work in Webcam7?

For Webcam7 use this method with Universal Source Filter:

Thank you, that works!
