Retenstion Policy deleted files the same day

The default was two days, but it log shows them being deleted the same day (being expired). I some recordings, but only from the very end of the recording. I tried recovery software for the library recordings folder, All I I found was stuff I did not want. I was thinking at least something would show there… even if no recoverable. Does it store the temp file else where before writing to the library folder with the correct data.

If you use retention, it’s highly recommended to synchronize library with some external storage - nas, ftp, or cloud. And make sure checkbox “Clean Synchronized Items Only” is checked.
It doesn’t use temporary files or folders for recording.
