I think i figured out what the problem was. Somehow the C:\Windows\Temp and C%User Profile%\AppData\Local\Temp folders went missing. i recreated both manually and this time the install completed. not even sure why that happened. It didn’t seem to affect Windows in any way though it should have. Really odd…
So yeah, its working now.
