It seems that the I Frame settings of the encoder has actual I frames pretty far apart (if I grab one of the video files, it seems there is one I frame every 30 or 60 frames (which for cameras that are pumping out 6-10 fps means it could be 3 to as many as 10 seconds between I frames which makes scrubbing through the video rather difficult. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change that?

There is no way to change this in the settings, even it’s not hardcoded or something that we change ourselves in the code.
We are relying on the presets (ultrafast to slow) which based on this define the different recording settings, did you try to play with those settings ?
