Recording audio and the audio does record but is garbled (sounds like Charlie Brown’s teachers almost - if you get the reference) - including the saved file. When playing live on a TCP RTSP stream (via VLC over WAN, no less) it is clear. Camera is TP-Link TL-SC3230. Verified in simplex (presumably mono) mode. It did work fine for years (believed in NCS v1.5 - now on v1.7). What else could we look at to clear this up?

Nothing for the Audio has been changed between these version, but … How do you connect the camera to Netcam Studio?
The camera support different audio formats. Go into the camera configuration and change audio format and test. After a change reset the camera in Netcam Studio to get the correct settings.
