How would we broadcast a plain .jpg image of a camera that refreshes every few seconds with netcamstudio? we were able to do that with webcamXP. We also would like to access that image from a url without authentication. Is this possible?

NCS focus on video so what you did in webcamxp is not possible. You can set up NCS to take a picture at a certain interval and upload to an FTP server. If you want to broadcast the cameras live video without authentication I recommend to embed the html code in a regular web page. To accomplish what you want I recommend to stay with WebcamXP.
