Using Netcam Studio 1.3.6.8 and VLC for general Playback (as well as other players), the file always starts with the current version of NCS. Is it possible to have this info be dynamic in the sense that it shows the Camera Name, Date and Time? This would make indexing through videos for a particular camera, time and date much quicker and easier.
You mean the metadata which are embedded into the video (which VLC displays for a few seconds ?)
Precisely… I often drag and drop folders by date time on to VLC. The playlist that VLC creates has no filename indication, but it does have the video meta data. Having a title with the cam name date and time would be ideal.

Or at least please remove currently one with no purpose (Netcam Studio version), so at least the filename appears in most of players
