Hi Everyone! I tried out webcamXP latest version and my problem is that I still cant choose the incoming hardware framerate. most 3rd party applications that connect to the camera, allow this.
webcamXP always sets the default 30 Fps, thats unnecessary for a security video. I usually use 10 or 15 which hugely increases the sensitivity at night and lowers the load on the system, while also decreasing noise.
I was bit disappointed that I cannot set this, even in the latest version. logi webcams, and i guess most other, allow 5-10-15-30 fps. this is real fps sent by the camera, which also influences shutter speed. having control over this is very important for balancing performance and quality.
is there any way around this? even if by editing some config file?
help appreciated thank you
