Hello! I see the following line in the NCS event logs which come from other address than my own device IP:
New User connected: anonymous from nn.nn.nn.nn
Should I be worried about that? Does it mean the web client is connected to a netcamStudio server but not logged in yet. Is it succesfully login always looks like: “New User Connected (Total:1 ) with Id #no.”
Hi,
When you contact NCS with the web client you get the anonymous from … indicating the the web client login was sent to a user. If the correct credentials are entered you see who it is and IP.
Probably an IP scanner discovered the open port 8100.
Should you be worried? Well, public IP and port is discovered so use strong credentials.
