No recording possible

Hello,
we currently have the problem that recordings are no longer possible. Neither automated nor manual.
The software brings the following error message:

Error while starting Plugin VideoEncoderFile
Exception Detail: System.Exception: avEncoder already initialized
bei ..()
bei Moonware.Core.Camera.StartPlugin(IPlugin destPlugin)

Is the HD full? If the Libray is on a external storage, NAS,
the connection might be lost.
Stop NCS. Go to the Task Manager and see if any processes related to NCS are running. If so end these tasks. Start NCS again.
Stop NCS. Start installstion program and select Remove. All configurations will be left. Install NCS again.

A new installation last year helped. But recently we have had the problem again. The cameras record after restarting the service, but after reaching the 10 minute recording time the error occurs:

All 10 cameras have this problem.

It’s been windows updates recently. If you change recording time to for example 5 or 15 minutes. Same problem?

Changing the recording time doesn’t change anything. After restarting the software, 3 of 12 cameras record, but only until the recording time is reached.

It can be many things and it’s difficult to pinpoint. Most likely an update of Windows net framework that messed up. I recommend a ciean instsllation. Copy the files lic.dat and the config file to a safe place. Do the ciesn installation snd test so it works correct. Copy back the two files and hopefully it will run correct.

We uninstalled everything that has to do with Netcam Studio, deleted all folders and reinstalled everything. After that it worked again. But it’s not a permanent solution if we have to repeat the process once every six months.

We haven’t deactivated the updates yet, so we would test that if the error occurs again.
