i was able to connect the first rlc-811wa camera, but using the same methods on the second camera does not work. Cameras are both RLC-811wa. Does anyone have any suggestions?
What is the same method?
Check IP number.
No special characters in username and password.
The same method is
- choosing Reolink from Brand dropdown
- entering the ipaddress (press the button that allows software to search the network for devices then you select the device to populate the field)
- enter the username and password
On pressing test connection button i get “timeout connecting to video source”
fyi the username password has no special characters
That camera is not listed there. Use the tab for ONVIF Source. Click on Browse.
Alternative use the tab for Custom URL.
Main stream: rtsp://(user name):(password)@(ip address):554/h264Preview_01_main
Sub stream: rtsp://(user name):(password)@(ip address):554/h264Preview_01_sub
when i go to select device / browse for devices nothing is showing up in the list.
I have also tried both of the custom url options you provided.

fyi my home network is called asus. I had to get a network booster to connect to this camera with the reolink software. the boost network is asus-ext (extender in repeater mode). the netcam studio software does still see the camera when i browse for devices but has not been able to make successful connection
Something is blocking the data in this asus-ext network. Make sure this asus network allow data on port 554 to pass.
